Genevieve “Jenny” Victoria’s Obituary
It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother Jenny, on Thursday November 25th at St. Elizabeth Retirement Residence, after a brief terminal illness, age 83. Jenny is survived by her daughters Sandra, Cindy and son Chris. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marissa, Ken and Tim; older sister Florence Brown (the late Donald) of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. She will be joining in heaven her parents Ted and Catherine and older brothers John and Jim. Jenny proved to be quite resilient in life. She survived a brain aneurysm at age 30, three months after giving birth to her third child. After initial dire prognosis Jenny walked out of the hospital on her own power 8 days later. This was at the time the quickest recovery recorded in Canada. Later in her senior years she survived hospitalizations for flu and a staph infection. Not to be outdone, she also overcame COVID last year and immediately following that, a heart attack. Jenny will be fondly remembered with endearment for her humour and entertaining personality. At Jenny’s request a private burial will be held at a future date. Her final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in the family plot with her deceased loved ones. Our family wishes to thank all health care providers who made her life more comfortable, in particular the late Dr. Angelo Zizzo and the staff at St. Elizabeth’s.
