Gatzke, Janet Maxine – age 58, of Port Mouton, unexpectedly passed away November 5, 2021. Her loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Born December 7, 1962, Janet was the daughter of Sherman and Suellen Whynot.
A lifelong area resident, originally from Milton, Janet was an incredibly active member whose influence touched many aspects of the community.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Greg Gatzke; son Michael (Krystie) and daughter Michelle (Justin); grandchildren Brody, Kylee and Mason. Sister Peggy (Randy), brother Robbie (Gail), sister in law Melody (Mike), an incredible group of friends and extended family.
She was predeceased by her brother Kevin.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Chandlers Funeral Home in Liverpool. A graveside ceremony will be held November 12th, 2021, at 11:00 am in Milton Community Cemetery, Milford St. Milton. Following the ceremony, a celebration of life will be held at West Queens Recreation Center located at 70 Riverhead Road, Port Mouton. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be donated to Autism Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
All those attending Janet’s service are asked to bring a mask, provide the funeral staff proof of vaccination, identification, covid tracing information and practice hand sanitizing and social distancing wherever possible.
