Obituary of Gary Trueman Wasson
WASSON, Gary Trueman- age 60 of Milford…It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gary on April 21, 2021. Born in Truro, he was the only son of Trueman and Ruth (Jodrey) Wasson.
Retired Gunner in the Canadian Armed Forces, he served in Cyprus and did a tour in Germany during the Gulf War. Gary had a huge heart and loved helping family, friends, neighbors and anyone in need. Gary lived life enthusiastically, loud and proud. This was evident in his gardening and model trains. Gary was also an active member of AA for 13 plus years.
Gary loved playing cards and was always up for a game of 45’s.
Gary leaves behind, his loving wife of 38 years, Suzanne (Sevigny); 3 sons, Nicholas (Brittany), Grand Praire, Alberta; Brian and Brandon, both of Eastern Passage; sisters, Carolyn (Howard) Smith, Great Village; Shirley (Alfred) Muise, North River; Joanne (Bernard) Conrad, Pleasant Valley; and Darlene Morgan, Onslow Mountain; brother’s-in-law, Jack and Dennis Sevigny; sister-in-law, Nancy (David) Robinson, all of Carberry, Manitoba; aunt, Vera (Clifford) Wasson, Truro and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his in-laws, Jack and Martha Sevigny.
Gary’s presence will be hugely missed by his family and community.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Pleasant Valley Cemetery or charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, burial will be at a later date.
