Gary is survived by his wife Larke, children Craig, Chad (Renee) and Janelle (Andrew) and Grandchildren James, Ashley, Lauren, Scarlett and Benjamin. He is also survived by his Brother, Raymond, Brothers-in-Law Mark (Tammy) and Rod (Kory), his Sisters-in-Law, Twyla and Dorothy and numerous cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary is predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Mary Newell, Mother-in-Law Gay Grundy, brother Alvin and Sister-in-Law Nina.
Gary’s greatest joy was spending time with those he loved. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to friends, family, or anyone in need. His jovial humour and unique witticisms will remain with us forever.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. We are grateful to the Cowichan Tertiary Lodge staff and healthcare professionals for their kind, compassionate care of Gary.
