It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gary Predon, November 21st, 2021. Gary passed peacefully at home with his wife and children at his bedside.
Loving husband to Beverley of 46 years, who provided the best homecare during his final days. Beloved father to Daniel (Brandy) and Katherine (Charles). Cherished Gigi of Lillian & Audrey, Kasenya, Madison, Cassidy, Cody, Colby, Cameron & Chloe. Dear Brother of Richard, Fred (Rita) & Greg (Carol), treasured Brother-in-law of Robert Osborne (Andree), dearest Pal of Jim (Gail) Street, Greg (Leslie) Janes, and loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Gary served the University of Guelphs Hospitality Services Team for over 30 years. A career highlight for Gary was preparing the Royal Luncheon for Her Royal Highness Princess Ann, upon the opening of the Equestrian Centre in 1986.
When he wasn’t preparing a feast, his hands were always busy; a man who never stopped serving those around him. Gary loved his Grand Children & spending time at the Cottage, touring the property on a tractor ride, with the kids in toe.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bayshore Nursing and Closing the Gap for their compassionate care & service.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. A visitation will be held on Sunday November 28th, 2021 from 12-2pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm. Those wishing to attend must RSVP via the funeral homes website, wear a mask, and socially distance. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
