Gary Arsenault
1950-2021
Gary Arsenault, 70, of Saint-Paul, passed away peacefully, on Friday
April 9, 2021 at the UHC Dr Georges-L Dumont, Moncton with his wife
and daughters by his side.. He was married to Jeannette (Belliveau)
Arsenault. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Gildas and
the late Jessie (Delhunty) Arsenault.
Gary was retired from Coop Atlantic where he worked for 30 years.
Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother,
brother-in-law ans uncle who loved to make everyone laugh by his
teasing nature.
He will be missed by his wife of 43 years Jeannette, his two
daughters; Nathalie Waterbury (Dyson) of Miramichi, Nadine Arsenault
(Jeremy) of Saint-Paul, and his three grandchildren; Connor, Mackenzie
and Ryan. He also leaves to mourn one sister; Linda Bernard (Gerard)
of Adamsville, two brothers; Clarence (Yolande) of Montreal, Harry
(Theresa) of Moncton as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one brother George.
Growing up Gary was a sports fanatic. His passion however was hockey.
He spent many Saturday nights rooting for his Toronto Maple Leafs. If
he was not watching his leafs on TV, he played in several leagues but
spent a grat deal of his adult life playing with the Saint-Paul Lumber
Woodsmen and the Moncton Dynomites. Once he could no longer play the
game he loved, he became his grandchildren’s biggest fan going from
rink to rink whether to a practice or a game. Even in the last few
months when he could not attend the games, he was eager to watch their
livestream. He had an immense love for his grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private
visitation and a private funeral Mass at a later date. Interment will
be in the Saint-Paul-de-Kent parish cemetery in the spring.
