Garwin Pitman – Nov 2nd 1959 – Nov 26th 2021
It is with broken hearts and with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear Garwin John Patrick Pitman who left us too soon. Beloved husband of 40 years to Carmela who will forever miss him dearly. She stayed by his side during his illness until the very end. Loving father to Gabriello Presenza (Felicia) and Sabrina Lamothe (Paul). Cherished nonno to Anastasia, Theodore, Chiara, Olivier and a much anticipated baby girl. Dear brother to Graham Pitman, Grant Pitman and Richard Pitman. He will join his parents in heaven, George and Victoria Pitman, and his in-laws, Luigi and Maria Presenza. Garwin was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends.
Garwin was an amazing and devoted family man who deeply loved and cared for his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy who brought him so much happiness. He enjoyed spending quality time with his furry-companion Bello.
As a dedicated staff member for 30 years at Vale, he was a skilled millwright by trade and branched out to instructor for contractors and upcoming trades workers entering the field. Vale recalled him back to work to continue to share his expertise. He worked until the day he became ill.
Garwin enjoyed sledding, hunting, crafting wooden bowls for his family, driving his sports car, spending time at the family camp and being a member of Holy Redeemer Parish. Nature brought him tranquility as he loved relaxing at his camp enjoying the view of the lake. Garwin found joy in music. He always loved to sing and play his guitar.
We will be forever grateful for London, Ontario’s University Hospital for providing excellent care to Garwin. He had a wonderful team of nurses and doctors.

(Friends may visit from 2pm-4pm, 6pm-8pm Tuesday, December 7, 2021 with parish prayers at 3pm. Facemasks and social distancing are mandatory).
Memorial Mass at Holy Redeemer Parish, 1887 Bancroft Dr., Sudbury on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 10am. Cremation with interment in the Civic Mausoleum following the Mass.
