Garnet’s Obituary
ROBICHEAU, Garnet Frank – age 74, Brazil Lake, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born February 2, 1947 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late John Charles and Viola (Beals) Robicheau. Garnet worked as a lobster fisherman and went on to work aboard the MV Bluenose. He was a member of the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Garnet is survived by a son, Garnet Norman (Christa) Robicheau, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB as well as by a daughter, Heidi Robicheau, Sluice Point, along with grandchildren, Alexander and Nicholas. Also surviving are brothers, Robert (Sue Anne) Robicheau, Deerfield; Richard “Ricky” (Denise) Robicheau, Lake George; Jay (Debbie) Robicheau, Weymouth; Robin (Carla) Robicheau, Chegoggin; Michael (Lil) Robicheau, Yarmouth. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Norma Pauline (Challoner) Robicheau. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 13 at the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church, Brazil Lake, Rev. Natalie Gidney officiating. In keeping with Covid-19 guidelines, masks are required along with adherence to social distancing guidelines. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Yarmouth SPCA.
