Cote, Gabrielle
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Moira Place in Tweed, Ontario on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, just shy of her 100th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Roland Cote. Cherished mother of the late Jean-Guy (Brenda), Gilles (Denise), Rejean, Richard (Shelly), Robert (Diane) and Roseline (Brian). Proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Gabrielle is lovingly remembered by her siblings Jeanne-D’arc (Willie predeceased), Rosaire (Laurette predeceased) and Georgette (Joseph predeceased). She is predeceased by her siblings Gerard, Paul-Emile (Jeanne), Bruno (Gwen) and Lucille (Armand). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gabrielle was very involved in CWL & FFCF for many years and will be missed. Family will receive friends at the Martyn & Sloan “Mattawa Chapel” on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Anne’s Church on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. Followed by the burial at St. Anne’s Cemetery. In keeping with Covid protocol, those attending must wear masks and practice social distancing. If desired, donations to the Mattawa Hospital or St. Anne’s Church would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

Est décédée paisiblement entourée de ses proches à Moira Place à Tweed, en Ontario, le mardi 13 juillet 2021, juste avant son 100e anniversaire. Elle était l’épouse bien-aimée de feu Roland Côté et la mère chérie de feu Jean-Guy (Brenda), Gilles (Denise), Réjean, Richard (Shelly), Robert (Diane) et Roseline (Brian). Fière grand-mère de 14 petits-enfants, 22 arrière-petits-enfants et 2 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants. Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses sœurs et frères : Jeanne-D’arc (feu Willie), Rosaire (feu Laurette), Georgette (feu Joseph), feu Gérard, feu Paul-Émile (feu Jeanne), feu Bruno (feu Gwen) et feu Lucille (feu Armand). Elle manquera à ses nombreux neveux et nièces, à sa famille élargie et à ses ami(e)s. Gabrielle a été impliquée dans les organismes CWL et FFCF pendant de nombreuses années. La famille accueillera les amis à la « chapelle de Mattawa » Martyn & Sloan le dimanche 18 juillet 2021 de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. Le service funèbre aura lieu à l’église Sainte-Anne le lundi 19 juillet 2021 à 11h, suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière Sainte-Anne. Conformément au protocole de la Covid, les personnes présentes doivent porter un masque et pratiquer la distanciation sociale. En guise d’expression de sympathie, des dons peuvent être faits à l’hôpital de Mattawa ou à l’église Sainte-Anne.
