Obituary of Frederick Richard Maddock
Frederick Richard Maddock passed away peacefully at Wildwood Care Centre on October 23, 2021 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Dora (Clipperton) in 2012. Loving father or Susan (Greg Normandin), Judy (Ed Watts), David and Dee, and Steven and Tammy. Beloved grandfather of Laurel, Patrick, Cody, Nicholas, Matthew, Brooklynn, Morgan, Madison, Emily, Delaney and Maxwell. Great-grandfather of Bentley. Survived by his sisters Phyllis Smith and Marion Maddock (Doug Reinecker) and sisters-in-law Dorothy Maddock, Betty Miller, Rosemary Maddock, Lynn Morrow (Jon), Linda Clipperton and brother-in-law Joe Clipperton, Ray Geddes. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours, his Tim Hortons buddies and members of the Mitchell and Tri-County Heritage Clubs. Fred enjoyed restoring Massey Harris equipment.
Predeceased by his parents William and Alice, brothers Robert and George, sister-in-law Patricia Geddes, Wayne Clipperton, Ron Clipperton, Gary Smith, and Wanda Clipperton.
Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys, on Tuesday, Oct 26 in the afternoon and evening. Please RSVP with the funeral home, see below.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at Kirkton Union Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 27th at 2 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will then be held at the Kirkton Woodham Community Centre from 3 to 5 p.m. Those wishing to attend please RSVP with the funeral home. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test is required for the time at the hall.
