Frederick John Mollon Tuesday July 6th 2021

Mollon, Frederick John – February 13, 1937 – July 6, 2021
On Monday, July 6th we lost one half of a great love story.
Fred’s loyalty to his wife Diane spanned over 60 years and was a relationship that was truly team based. Through good and bad, they stuck together and in the past few years Fred’s care and love shone through as Diane’s caregiver, supporter and biggest fan.
Fred retired from Dofasco at age 54 and for the next 30 years, he and Diane travelled the world with friends, volunteered faithfully at Parkview Nursing Home, enjoyed jazz, photography and cottage fun, a glass of wine (or two), the Tiger-Cats, Packers and Habs, Theatre Aquarius and time with friends and each other.
Fred leaves behind his beloved wife Diane Mollon (nee Smith), his brother Tracey, brothers-in-law Ron (Elaine) and Walt (Shelley) and several nieces and nephews. Fred and Di’s giving spirit awarded them many close friends and he will be missed and fondly remembered by Roy, Bill and Mary, Lynn and Jerry, Bill and Shirley, Danelle and Pat, Shari Lynn and Bryan, Carlene and Brian, Chuck and Barb, Michele and Tim, Grant and Wendy and their families.
Donations to The Alzheimer Society or St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (that took such good care of Fred and Di in the past few days) would be appreciated.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no service at this time.
