In Loving Memory Of
Fred Sandul
Fred Sandul resident of Rycroft, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at The Central Peace Health Complex at the age of 91 years.
Fred was born on November 30, 1929, to Mary and Fred Sandul Sr. He was born on the family farm where he continued to grow up and live his life. He, along with his siblings, attended the Greenway School, then Rycroft School for Grades 10 and 11. Fred lived the farm life, taking winter jobs with High Tower Drilling, Dika Construction and Neils Agri Services. He was active in his community right up to the time that Alzheimer’s started taking over his life.
He always had a nickname for his kids, grandkids and dearest friends. He was known for his many sayings and great stories.
Fred loved snowmobiling, jet-boating the Peace, woodworking, gardening alongside Mary, and visits from his kids, grandkids and friends. Most of all, he loved his fishing trips to Kitimat, BC.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 68 years, Mary; daughters: Donna, Georgia and Charlene; son Brad; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Fred was predeceased by his parents Mary and Fred Sr.; brother Bill Sandul; sisters: Jean Solomany, Anne Bahry, Pauline Klaepatch and twin sister Mae Basisty, who passed 30 hours earlier than he.
