June 23, 1935 ~ January 3, 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle and friend, Franklin on January 3, 2020, who lost his battle to cancer at the Pine Falls hospital at the age of 85.
He is predeceased by his parents Alex and Mary, as well as his brothers Edgar, Jim, Kenny, Albert, Roderick and Frederick; his sisters Martha, Olga and Minnie.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Jane (Gerry), Audrey and Vera (Bill). As well he leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and community members.
Uncle Franklin enjoyed a simple life in Manigotagan. He was a hard worker, who was always willing to help anyone in need. You could always find him chopping wood, cutting grass or shoveling snow. He loved playing bingo, the slots and watching his sports. He also enjoyed attending all the community events and would occasionally show off his jigging skills. Uncle Franklin will be sadly missed, but we take great comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain.
Many thanks to all the family, friends and community members who helped make it possible for Franklin to live in his own home for as long as he did, on his own terms.
We look forward to celebrating Uncle Franklin’s life once we are able to gather.
