Frank Peter Tonon Friday November 26th 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Frank on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at the age of 71. Beloved husband to Maureen (née Halligan). Loving father to Marla (Andre), Matthew (Hannah) and Cassandra (Devan). Proud Nonno to Avianna, Roman, Russell, Polina and Leo. Cherished brother to Marilyn (Tony) and Vivian (Scott). Zio to many nieces and nephews. Favourite son-in-law to Lois Halligan. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Vittoria (née Tomat).
Frank was the proud owner of New Edinburgh Pharmacy for more than 40 years. He was respected and loved by everyone in the community. When he wasn’t working, you could find him golfing at The Royal Ottawa Golf Club, having lunch with his friends or visiting his grandchildren. To know him was to love him. His warmth and generosity never went unnoticed. He will be greatly missed.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private Mass will be held with family and close friends on Friday, December 3rd at 11 am. A LiveStream of the service will be hosted by Annunciation of The Lord Church. As a man of faith and lover of art, donations can be made to the Annunciation of the Lord Parish for the restoration of the sanctuary.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Frank Peter Tonon Friday November 26th 2021..

  5. With honour i took his name Frank as my confirmation name as he was my sponsor. Really floored by the news. I looked up to him so much even as I was being pelted by his superfast snowballs as a very young boy in a red snowsuit I could barely move in. Brrrr…. I will miss him. Sympathies to Maureen and the family. Prayers for all.

  7. I was deeply shocked when I heard the terrible news that Frank had passed. His life was taken at a time when he had so much to live for. My mind went back to the many meetings and get togethers where we would talk about art and golf as well as his business. Frank was a generous and a true gentleman and he will be missed by so many. My condolences go out to Maureen and the family and may God be with you.
    Rest In Peace, Frank.
