Frank’s Obituary
CHANCE HARBOUR – Frank Lodge, 75, Chance Harbour, passed away peacefully Friday, November 5, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Batley, Yorkshire, England, he was a son of the late Harry and Esther (Wright) Lodge. Prior to immigration to Canada in 1977, Frank was employed with Vicker’s Dawson, Rolls-Royce Motors in England. Upon moving to Stellarton, he accepted a position in the Mechanical Engineering department at Michelin Tire Canada, Granton, from where he retired in 2009. Throughout this time, he assisted his wife, Dorothy in the operation of Sure-Stich Co. Ltd. and Inspirations Ladies Fashion & Bridal Boutique, New Glasgow. Frank was a Past Master of Keith Lodge No. 23, A.F. & A.M., Stellarton and greatly appreciated the many friendships he gained throughout the years. Frank possessed an infectious sense of humour, a strong work ethic and unfailing love of family.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Dorothy (Morton) Lodge; sons, Antony “Tony” Lodge, Bedford; John (Krista) Lodge, Little Harbour; grandchildren, Kirsten, Brittany, Breanna and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Brylyn and Teagan; sister, Christine (Derrick) Barron, England; brother, Clifford Lodge, England; sister-in-law, Margaret Lodge, England; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Audrey Curry; brother, Norman Lodge.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date.
