This is in loving memory of Francisco S. Aliviano who passed away on April 21, 2021 at St. Paul Hospital in Vancouver BC at the age of 65.
Francisco, “Iko” or “Franklin” Aliviano was born on October 04, 1955 in Minglanilla, Cebu, Philippines to the late Jose and Octavia Aliviano. He is the 4th child of six children. Franklin was a devoted and a loyal husband of Valentina, his wife of 42 years. Their marriage on November 9th, 1978 in Minglanilla parish church blessed them with five children.
Francisco was a self-made man who started as a laborer together with his late father in his early working days. He then became an electrician in various construction companies in the Philippines until he decided to work overseas in countries such as Egypt, Jordan and Saudia Arabia. While he was working abroad, he had several opportunities earning extra by teaching karate as he was a Black Belter, doing tailoring jobs and even inventing fruit wines to sell to his coworkers. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open his own repair shop back to his home country in the early 2000 to spend more time with his family.
He happily migrated to Canada on December 14, 2019 and had enjoyed much more of his retirement life since then. He is known for his love of sports and the great outdoors, spending his remaining times in activities such as nature walks, biking, fishing and hunting, playing golf, tennis and badminton. His self confidence is evident as he loves Karaoke as his past time, recording himself singing and his love for photography that gave his family lots of memorable and captured moments of his life and adventures here in Canada.
He will be surely missed and will be lovingly remembered by his children, relatives and friends.
There will be a live streaming for his private and last viewing at Kearney Funeral Services in Vancouver Canada before his cremation on April 27th at 2 PM, Pacific Time (5 AM, April 28th Philippine time). For anyone wishing to attend virtually through Zoom, the link will be posted on Facebook.
