Obituary of Francis Clair Pevere
Pevere, (Fran) Francis Clair
January 14, 1940 – April 09, 2021
Peacefully on Friday, April 09, 2021 at the age of 81. Surrounded by his loving wife Marilyn Pevere (née Gruer), Donna and the wonderful and caring staff at the Carleton Place Terrace. Fondly remembered by his step-children Sheri Hall-Benoit (Ben), and Michael Hall. Cherished Poppie to Gabrielle, Nickolas, Natalie and Nevan. Predeceased by his parents Marjorie and Francis Pevere, his sister Iva Manning (Errol), and his brother Jim Pevere (June). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Fran spent his younger years at Avonmore and Monkland, Ontario. He started work on Canadian Pacific Railway when he was 16 years old and retired with 37 years of service. He was a volunteer and served as Councillor for the town of Smiths Falls from 1978 – 1988. He was selected as a Life Member of the Smiths Falls Kinsmen Club.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions a memorial service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Bolingbroke United Church or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
