Francis Oneill
1941-2021
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Francis H. Oneill of
Gladwyn, NB, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional
Hospital on the evening of February 4, 2021.
Francis was born in Kilburn , NB, on May 23, 1941. He was the son of
the late Henry and Ruby (Fitzherbert) Oneill. Francis leaves behind
his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Oneill (Cooper); his daughters,
Valerie Sullivan (Allie) of Gladwyn, NB, Karen Oneill of Naples, FL;
his son, Dwayne Oneill (Laura) of Gladwyn, NB; seven grandchildren and
two great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Francis was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Carolyn Oneill;
and his granddaughter, Maggie Oneill.
Francis worked as a silviculture engineer for Fraser Lumber for over
30 years. When he wasn’t at work, Francis worked growing potatoes on
his own farm and continued to work there even until last fall. Francis
enjoyed cutting wood, fishing in his own fish pond, go for boat rides,
playing all kinds of games, especially card games. Above all those
activities, Francis enjoyed spending time with his family.
Do to the Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Francis’ life will
be held at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
