Francis Joseph “Frank Joe” Peters
1941-2021
Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital,
O’Leary, on Monday, June 28, 2021 of Frank Peters, formerly
of Charlottetown and Lennox Island, in his 80th year.
Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Porter) Peters; dear father
of Nancy (Sean) Doyle; and grandfather of Emily, Gabrielle and Pete.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by his parents Sylvan and Nancy (nee Paul)
Peters, siblings Abram “Gabby”, Leo, Stanley, Ronnie and two
infant sisters.
Frank was born on July 26, 1941 at Lennox Island. He was
raised in the Catholic church and maintained his faith to the end,
while also practicing the Mi’Kmaq traditions. He was also
very proud of his 20 years of sobriety.
Due to current restrictions, a private Funeral Mass (by
invitation only) will be held at St. Anne’s Church, Lennox
Island. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. A private
visitation will be held at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown
Funeral Home, Charlottetown and Ferguson Funeral Home, Tyne Valley (by
invitation only).
Donations may be made to the QEH Cancer Treatment Centre or
the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital,
O’Leary.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Hennessey Cutcliffe
Charlottetown Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at
