Obituary of Frances Harriot King
KING – Frances Harriet (nee Smith) of Valleyview Home, St Thomas passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late John W. King (1990). Frances is survived by her children Geoffrey Chapman of Medellin, Columbia and Mary Kay Walker (Chris) of London; granddaughter Natasha Chapman; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Irene (Jim) Cook. Frances was born in Glencoe, Ontario to the late Finlay and Catherine Smith. She was a retired supervisor at Bell Canada, a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, and enjoyed volunteering at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. A memorial service to celebrate Frances’ life will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 am. Visitation one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment of ashes in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. Thomas Anglican Church would be appreciated.
