Frances” Alberta” McAleenan
1923-2021
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October
28, 2021, Frances “Alberta” (Dewar) McAllenan, wife of the
late Francis H. McAllenan of St. Andrews NB. Born at St. George NB on
January 24, 1923, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary
(Scammell) Dewar.
A loving mother, grandmother and sister,
she is survived by her son John “Jack” (Elizabeth) McAllenan
of Bayside NB, her daughter Jean (Will) Dupuis of St. Stephen NB,
seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three great great
grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In
addition to her parents and husband Frank, she was predeceased by her
brothers: Roy, Eddy, Arthur, Everett and Horace and her sisters: Mary,
Madeline, Jean, Irene, Margaret and Geraldine. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate
family.
Resting at the St. George
Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) with visiting on Monday
evening from 6-9pm for those who wish to pay their respects. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:30pm from St.
Andrews Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Suresh Savariraj officiating
followed by interment in St. George’s Catholic Cemetery. In Alberta’s
memory, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be
appreciated by the family. Due to Covid 19 protocols, proof of vaccine
and proper ID are required for attendance at the funeral home for
visiting or the mass.
