Obituary of Florence Trickett
Passed peacefully away in the presence of loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, August 9, 2021, Florence Trickett of Perry’s Cove, age 71 years.
Predeceased by parents: John and Elexey Slade; brother: Sterling; infant brother: Barry, and sister: Phyllis.
Leaving to mourn, husband: Fred ‘Junior’; one daughter: Cathy (Michael) Lockyer, Kelligrews; one son: Dwayne (Suzanne), Upper Gullies; three grandchildren: Zack, Chris, and Braxton; six brothers: Harold (Laura) Slade, Salmon Cove, Ralph Slade, Victoria, Will (Carolann) Slade, Blackhead, Matt (Dorothy) Slade, Broad Cove, Walt (Wanda) Slade, Salmon Cove, and John (Stephanie) Slade, Victoria; two sisters: Harriett (Doug, deceased) Parsons, Carbonear and Doreen (Scott) Noel, Freshwater, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Edison (Doreen) King, Salmon Cove, Lewis King (Ann), Sackville, NS, Bert (Lorraine) King, Salmon Cove, Rev (Judy) King, and Calvin (Jackie) King, both of Perry’s Cove; sisters-in-law: Bertha Slade, Salmon Cove and Bessie Snow, Upper Gullies; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, August 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday, August 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Friday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
