Florence E Russell September 17 1928 December 12 2021

Russell, Florence Evelyn (nee Grace) September 17 1928 – December 12 2021, beloved wife of the late Hubert Wilmot Russell (Bert), passed away peacefully with her son by her side at the IOOF Seniors Home. She will be greatly missed by her loving children Linda (Rob) Clark and John (Helen). As well as her 8 grandchildren, Hope (Cameron) Pottage, Heather Earle, Julie (Corey) Anderson, J. Wesley (Robyn), Carrie Phillips, Cheryl (Robert) DeHaan, MaryEllen (Shannon) Loughran, and J. Robert Clark, and her 21 great grandchildren, who affectionately called her G.G. Florence lived in Midland and wintered in Florida with Bert, and more recently moved to the IOOF Seniors Home in Barrie to be closer to her son and share many life events and visits with family. Her younger years were spent raising Linda and John and working as a Seamstress at Fabulous Formals where she would sew up to 14 bridesmaid or 12 wedding dresses in a day. Florence enjoyed all things design and fashion and especially loved the colour pink. Her grandchildren remember fondly graduation and prom dresses handmade especially for them by Grandma; Sunday dinners ending with delicious deserts baked by Grandma; and special woodworked crafts handmade by Grandpa and hand painted by Grandma. Florence was an amazing seamstress, craftswoman, and baker, so incredibly talented, creative, and generous.
