LAIDMAN, Flora “Marie” (nee Ecker)
In her 83rd year, died with her loving husband of 61 years (62yrs March 26), Howard by her side on Saturday, December 25, 2021, after a long journey with Parkinson’s Disease. Marie will be greatly missed by her two loving children Daryl (Robin) and Gail (Len) MacDonald. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Daryl-Leigh, Alanah-Rose, Dana-Alicia, Daniel (Emmalee), Mitchell, Darren and Alex; and her special great grandchildren our beautiful Jaelynn, Lucas and little Alex. Marie loved with her whole heart and was instantly everyone’s favourite including many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Marie is the first sibling in her family to pass, leaving behind her twin brother Harvey (late Bonita, Betty), sisters Marjorie (late Harold), Dorothy (late Jim, Dino) and brothers Malcom (late Patricia) and Larry (Diane).
During this very difficult time, covid and the holidays the family will be doing a graveside service at Blackheath United Cemetery. Marie will be forever missed but never forgotten. Her body is now quiet and her worrying is done, may you now rest in peace you beautiful soul.
We would like to thank all our family and friends for their love, support, phone calls, visits, flowers and food deliveries over the past two years. And thank you to Jenny her VON and St. Peter’s palliative care unit including Traci for caring for both Marie and Howard during her brief stay there.
