1920-2021
Felix Daniel Pelkey of Hartland passed away at home on
Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in his 101st year. He was born December 16,
1920 and was the son of the late LeRoy and Ada Pelkey. Besides his
parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Glenna Pelkey; partner
Barbara McNutt; son, Darrell; brother, Archie (Ann); sisters, Mary
(Don) MacAulay, Gladys (Jack) Whirty; brothers-in-law, John Johnston,
Ivan Mean, Harry Blackman.
Felix is survived by his daughter-in-law, Nancy Pelkey;
grandchildren, Sabrina (Derek) Pease, Darrell Daniel Pelkey; great
grandchildren, Henry Pease, Jessica Pease, Isabella Pelkey, Caleb
Pelkey; sisters, Margaret Johnston, Sondra Blackman; and several
nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Felix was raised in Hartland, NB. He served his country
proudly in World War II, coming home from the war to marry Glenna and
start a family. They moved to London, Ontario where they lived until
he retired. Following retirement they moved to Brookfield, NS to be
near Darrell and his family. They had a beautiful home in Brookfield
where he enjoyed his garden and flowers. After the death of Glenna, he
shared his life with Barb, who took great care of him until her
passing. At the age of 99 he sold his home in Nova Scotia and moved
back to Hartland to be near family and loved ones.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions there will be no public
visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 15th
at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Peter Culberson officiating. The interment
will be in the Lower Simonds Cemetery. If so desired, donations can be
made to the Lower Simonds Cemetery. www.brittonfh.ca.
