Faye Campbell died peacefully at the age of 91 surrounded by her family. She was born in Ottawa to the late Laurence and Margaret (Holcomb) Rochester. Married for 36 years and predeceased by her husband Keith G. Campbell.
After high school at Glebe Collegiate Institute, Faye graduated from McGill University BSc Physical Education in 1952 and from the Ontario College of Education in 1953. She taught math and physical education in Ottawa secondary schools.
She was devoted to daughters Laurie, Barbara (John Elliott), Nancy (Michael Landers) and Christine Demers. Cherished grandmother to Sarah Panetta (Michael), Christopher Elliott (Aileen Gnov), Liam and Mason Landers and great-grandmother to Pia and Julian Panetta. She will be sorely missed by her sister Gail and husband James Wilson in West Vancouver.
Faye was a kind, outgoing, warm, compassionate person who so enjoyed the love and companionship of her many friends, including for over 65 years, her fellow members of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. She was active in volunteer work and will be remembered for her generous and helping spirit. Many friends enjoyed Faye’s hospitality at the cottage.
