LANGMEAD, Fanny May (nee Rose) – Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, Fanny May Langmead (nee Rose) at the wonderful age of 88 years. Predeceased by her twin sons Herbert and John (1955); parents, Janet and Frederick Rose; parents-in-law, John and Alice Langmead; brother, Cecil Rose; and sister, Annie (Hubert Newell). Leaving to mourn her cherished husband of 67 years, Herbert; son, Perry (friend, Karen Fowler); son Greg and daughter-in-law Suzanne. Fanny was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories for her four grandchildren: Adam (Jacqueline Stone), Vanessa, Jessica (Gavin Williams) and Nathan. She longed for the role as a great-grandma and was blessed in her life with Spencer and Hudson Langmead, and Miss Avery Rose Hanlon, whom she treasured with all her heart. Also left to mourn is her beautiful sister-in-law, Joyce Rose; and Donna Miller – Adam and Vanessa’s mom – whom her unconditional love for never failed. As well as many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Special thank you to Fanny’s caretakers over the last few years, especially to Amanda Noseworthy whom worked with her at her own home until she moved to Meadow Creek Retirement Home. Your care and support for our family will never be forgotten. To all the staff of Meadow Creek Retirement Home especially Cathy Thorne – you treated her as your own and she told you she loved you only a day before she passed away. We will be forever grateful for the care and attentiveness you gave to mom.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay, on Thursday, August 12, from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Please join us in celebrating her life at All Saints Anglican Church, Pouch Cove, where Fanny was an active member of the ACW, on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00pm. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to All Saints Anglican Church, Pouch Cove, or a charity of one’s choice.
“More precious was the light in your eyes than all the roses in the world.”
