Everett’s Obituary
NICKERSON, Everett Leland – 68, of Upper Port La Tour, passed away peacefully in Roseway Hospital. Everett was born in Roseway Hospital, the fifth child in a family of seven to the late Kenneth and Vivian (Ross) Nickerson. He started fishing and lobstering at a young age, the majority of it alongside his brother Dale. He spend most of his time outdoors either hunting, cutting wood, gardening, or where he said he was the happiest, in his boat on Eel Bay. He will be remembered for his love for his cats, sense of humor (he loved to tease), and an avid reader of local stories. Survived by his partner, Anna Demings; daughter, Amanda (Jason) Nickerson; grandson, Emmett; siblings, Dale (Vicki), Reggie (Joni), Elizabeth (Fred), Brenda (Bill), Connie (Gary), and Geraldine (Frank); many nieces and nephews; and of course, his six cats. Predeceased by brother-in-law, Fred Richard; and great-niece, Amber Mood. Thank you to all the healthcare professionals for their care and support throughout his illness. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private committal to be held at a later date. Memorial donations in his name may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be sent to huskilson@ns.aliantzinc.ca or you may sign the guest book at www.huskilson.net
