Evelyn Maher 19522021

Evelyn Maher
1952-2021
October 14, 1952 – March 16, 2021
Passed peacefully away at the
Placentia Health Centre on March 16, 2021, Evelyn Maher of Bond’s
Path, Placentia, at the age of 68 years.
Predeceased by her parents Francis and
Mary Maher, and brother Greg Maher.
Evelyn will be forever missed and
cherished by many, especially by her loving partner and best friend
Charlie Power and the Power Family. Also leaving to
celebrate and remember her life are five brothers Frank, Tom
(Kathleen), Adrian (Liz), Gerard (Helen), and John (Ce-Ann); five
sisters Ann Hickey, Sister Patricia Maher, Geraldine Maher, Winnie
Hickey, and Mary (Gordon Stahl); a large circle of special nieces and
nephews in the Maher and Power families; all of her great-nieces and
great-nephews whom she adored; as well as a large circle of other
family members and close friends.
Evelyn was the youngest of 12
siblings, and she was an anchor in the Maher and Power
families. Many people describe her as very kind, but she was
so much more. She was shy but outspoken, fun but
professional, talented but modest. She was a guardian
angel to many,
but never looked for acknowledgement or recognition. She showed
strength and courage for the people she loved, even during her last
days battling her brief illness.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to
Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. Due to the Public
Health restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at Sacred
Heart Church, Placentia on Saturday, March 20th. Inurnment to follow
at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast,
Placentia.
In lieu of flowers donations can be
made to Daffodil Place.
