BROWNE, Evelyn Jeanette ~ Age 78 of Wilmot, Annapolis Co. passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on January 25, 1943 in Prince Albert, NS, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Alena (Thorne) Weaver. Evelyn did her early schooling in Prince Albert and later raised her family in Melvern Square. Family was everything to Evelyn and she adored her 2 granddaughters, Devyn and Rylie. She also enjoyed going on car rides with family. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Patricia Browne; sons, Michael (Donna) Browne and Paul (Leighanne Tate) and their daughters, Devyn and Rylie Browne; sister, Verna Smith; brother, Philip Archibald (Denyse Veinot); sister-in-law, Shirley Weaver and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Browne; brother, John Weaver; sister, Barbara (Earle) Spidle; and brother-in-law Ralph Smith. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by family request. A private family graveside service will take place in Church Grove Cemetery. Due to current pandemic restrictions, it is now required to show proof of full vaccination for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. Masking and hand sanitization will continue to be required. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
