Eva Kurtzman (nee Shepherd)
1925-2021
After a brief illness,
Eva Kurtzman passed away at Humber River Hospital on Saturday, April
3, 2021 at the age of 95.
She was born
in Montreal, daughter of the late Ethel and Jack Shepherd, on May 28,
1925, and is a former resident of St. Thomas, Ingersoll, London and
Toronto.
She was the devoted
wife of Norman Kurtzman (1987). Beloved mother of the late Lynn Rosen
(1989) and Lynn’s husband the late Jeff Rosen (1994), Ellen (John)
Weintraub, Shelley (Leonard) Stigler, and Brian Kurtzman (Melody
Enzel). Her grandchildren Adam, Ilana, Jeremy, Errol, Mitchell, Nolyn,
Avery, Alana (Lawrence), Randi (Richard), and Jason mourn her loss.
She was the great-grandmother of Nova, Micah, Matthew, Jordan, Bowdy
and Wyatt. She was predeceased by her still born daughter in 1959,
brother John Shepherd and sister Rose Ennis.
She spent the last 11
years at Baycrest Apotex Long Term Care, and the family wishes to
extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kraft and all the staff who knew her,
for their exceptional care.
Due to COVID
restrictions, a private family service was held, with burial at Or
Shalom Cemetery, London.
