Peacefully at the Hudson Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Ethel McKay (nee MacLeod) of Dalhousie, QC; age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Daniel McKay. Loving mother of Ian McKay of Alexandria, Catherine Grant (Hugh) of St. Raphael’s, late Karen Anne McKay, Gail Webster (Tom) of Alexandria, late Laurie McKay-Levac (Stephane of Dalhousie, Qc), David McKay (Marielle Robert) of Dalhousie, QC and Kim McKay (Louis Verdoni) of Vaudreuil, QC. Cherished grandmother of Leah, Blaire, Matthew, Carter, Lindsay, Colin, Kaitlyn, Ellen, Aaron, Jared, Darya and Sadie, and great-grandmother of Eleanor, Judah, Levi, River, Miles, Malcolm, Bentley, and Lark. Dear sister of John MacLeod of Alberta, Muriel Tischart of Carleton Place, and Lillian Clayton of London, Ont. Predeceased by her brothers Donald, William and Ranald, by her sister Margaret Walsh, and by her parents Alexander and Beatrice MacLeod (nee McBean). Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd. 114 Main Street South, Alexandria (613)525-2772. Funeral Service will be held at the St. Andrew’s United Church (The Round Church), Dalhousie Mills, Saturday July 24, 2021 at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the St. Andrew’s United Church (The Round Church), or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. In memory of Ethel, a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
