Passed peacefully away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, Ethel (Etta) Langmead of Pouch Cove, age 87.
Predeceased by her husband Harry (2010) and many cherished members of the Langmead and Peddle families.
Left with fond and loving memories: son Blair (Jen); treasured grandchildren Callie and Josh (mother Susan White); devoted nieces Tina Ricketts and Linda Collins, and many members of the Langmead and Peddle extended families.
Etta lived a life full of activity. She was an avid (and fast) walker, loved picking berries, gardening, playing bingo and eights, and in earlier years being the road hockey goalie for her grandchildren. She always had brownies or a chocolate cake on the counter, and supper on the stove for anyone who stopped in. Her quick wit, and stories of growing up on Blackler Avenue, as well as tales of her days in Toronto, will be missed by all.
Special thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at St. Luke’s Homes, as well as staff at North Pond Manor in Torbay.
Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation. Inurnment and celebration of life to occur at a later date.
Donations in Etta’s memory can be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ethel Etta Langmead 2021..
