Obituary of Esther Wiley (nee Fodor)
Of St. Thomas, passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Bernard A. Wiley (2003) and the late Stanley M. Blenkhorn (1962). Dearly loved mother of Diana Wiley, Darlene Looy (Jeff), Dwain Wiley, Karen Leyenhorst-McNeil (Ernie), Bryan Wiley (Joanne), Terry Wiley (Joanie), and Tammy Kuhn (Caven). Dear sister of Gabriel Fodor (Jean), Leslie Fodor (Joyce), Margaret Fodor, Irene Herbert (David), late Louis Fodor (Frances), and the late Emil Fodor (late Rosemary). Esther is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and their families. Born in Endeavor, Saskatchewan, May 9, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Louis Fodor Sr. and the late Esther (née Komaromi) Fodor. Esther and her husband Bernard were the former co-owners of Envirotherm and Therm-O-Comfort, St. Thomas. She was a member of Faith Church.
By invitation, a private visitation will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). As per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO), attendance numbers will be restricted and a properly worn mask or face covering is required. A private graveside service, also by invitation, will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park. Flowers respectfully declined. Memorial donations to Fellowship International, Guelph, or Violence Against Women, Services Elgin County, or Hospice of Elgin will be gratefully acknowledged.
