Obituary of Ester Cowan
Ester Cowan of Woodstock, passed away peacefully at VON Sakura Hospice House, Woodstock, with her family by her side, on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the age of 75.
Loving mother to Ritchie Ople (Dale) and Richard Ople (Mirella). Adoring grandmother to Sienna Ople and soon-to-be-grandchild of Richard and Mirella. Sister to Virginia Eget (Reynaldo), Lourdes Magsino (Edgar), Josephine Viray, Nenette Gonzales (Abraham), Joven Oppus (Malou), Teresita Gaerlan (Alex) and Jean Ogasawara. Predeceased by her parents Julian and Eduarda Oppus and brothers Alfred Oppus and Samuel Oppus.
Ritchie, Richard and family are very grateful for the excellent care their mom received at VON Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock General Hospital and University Hospital, London. They wish to send their heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, personal support workers, social workers and staff who were all involved in her care.
A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Registration and proof of vaccination is not required for the mass; however, masks must be worn at all times and social distancing respected. A live-stream of the funeral service will be available here.
If desired, memorial donations to the VON Sakura Hospice House in Woodstock would be appreciated.
