Obituary of Ervin Roland Austin
On January 5, 2021, Ervin Roland Austin, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully of Alzheimer’s at the age of 71. He served as an RCMP Officer from 1972 until April 4, 2000. Upon retirement, he owned a brew on premise for 10 years.
Survived by his partner, Kathleen Nelligan, he enjoyed spending many summers and holidays at the cottage and at the Royal Canadian Legion with his friends.
Pre-deceased by his parents, James Leonard Austin and Margaret Eileen (Waye); his brother, Jim (late Loraine), as well as by his sisters, Venita Den Hollander (Henry), Judy Tilley (Tom) and Sharon.
Survived by his daughter, Jennifer MacKay Myra (Eugene); his son, Jeremy (Martina); his grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Andrew and Jack; his twin brother, Ernie (Muriel), his brothers, Charles (Wendy) and Barry (Kathy) as well as by several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and funeral arrangements will take place at a later date.
