Obituary of Ernest Russell West
On April 18th, 2021 at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital, in his 78th year, went to be with his Heavenly Father.
Beloved husband of Dorothy West (nee Birch) of St Thomas Ontario. Dear father of Annette West and (Greg Stoddard) of London Ontario, Brent and (Deborah West) (nee Pucovsky) of Camlachie Ontario. Loving grandfather of Joshua Carpenter, Annalyse Carpenter and (Justin Merucci), Cole West, Austin West. Predeceased by his father Ernest West Sr. and his mother Jesse West (nee Whitcroft). He was born in London Ontario and served in the Navy. He was a retired Fire Captain on the London Fire Department with more than 29 years service and much respect. He enjoyed recounting history, story telling and cooking. He was generous loyal and kind. He was devoted and loved his family and had many great friends. He was much loved, but it was time to go home. He loved Jesus and Jesus loved him.
Cremation has taken place, interment to follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
