66 years, passed peacefully on Tuesday January 19, 2020 at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus. Loving husband of Arlete Oliveira. Adored father of Cindy Luscombe (Aaron), the late Nancy Oliveira and Brian Oliveira (Maria). Cherished grandfather of Seth, Leandro, Savannah, Autumn and Joshua. Survived by his father Ernesto and sister Adelina. Predeceased by his mother Adelina. Will be greatly missed by in-laws, nieces, nephews and God Children. Ernesto was a lifelong captain who began fishing at 14 years of age. He loved being out on the water. He was married to his best friend for 46 years and was a devoted family man, his children and grandchildren meant the world to him. The family wishes to thank the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette campus CCU and the paramedics for their tremendous care. A special thank you to Matt, Joshua and Dr. Bagherli for their extra amazing care. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Friday January 22, 2020 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Interment at Erie Wheatley Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation is limited to a specific number of visitors. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Please book an appointment at www.reidfuneralhome.ca All visitors must remain in their cars in our parking lot until their designated time and one of our staff members comes to invite you into our facility. Everyone must wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Fight Like Mason Foundation. Friends may share memories and make donations at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
