Obituary of Ernest Johnston
Ernie passed away in the Perth hospital on Thursday January 7th, 2021 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Lanark on January 29th, 1940, son of the late Clyde and Elsie (Ferguson) Johnston. Ernie was the dear brother of Nora (late Roger) Riopelle, Carl (Linda) Johnston and the late Allan, Beryl, Glen, Harold and Peter Johnston, Mildred (Art) Sargeant and Cheryl Mooney. He will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law Jean Johnston and Pauline Johnston, brother-in-law Terry Mooney, several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the service and interment will be held privately for immediate family. Ernie’s family would like to sincerely thank Chris Lambert for his personal support, nurse Laurie Hall, Karen Southcott and all the staff at the Perth Community Care Centre, the Perth hospital and Dr. Peter Jechel for the compassionate and professional care Ernie received over many years.
