January 31, 1949 – July 13, 2021
After a successful and joy-filled weekend of fishing, Ernie Simpson suddenly passed with family by his side on July 13, 2021. Loving husband and best friend for 49 wonderful years to Judith Simpson (nee Telford). Amazing father to Darcy, Derek (Laurie), Adam (Maria). Beloved Papa to Mackenzie, Maggie, Riley, Aidan and Isabella. Survived by his sister Rose Waskowiz (late Hank). Son of the late Ernest (1975) and Veronica (1962), and brother of the late John and wife Beatrice. Brother-in-law to Jim Telford (Inge) of London, Jo-Anne Despins (Andrew) of Tecumseh, and Jeff Telford (Kim) of Whitby. Ernie will be missed by many extended family, including nieces and nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.
Ernie was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Nicholas Point Council 4375, active Knight since 1974. Ernie was a past executive of the Tecumseh Baseball Club and Committee of Adjustment for the Town of Tecumseh. Ernie was a very proud co-owner of Lincoln Conveyors, successfully for 25 years. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and thoroughly enjoyed riding across the country. He was a member of ABATE, Daytona Beach. Ernie loved spending time with his grandchildren who were the pride and joy of his life. He enjoyed the winters in Florida and fishing in the summertime. Ernie was a proud graduate of St. Clair College, with a diploma in Engineering.
If you so desire, donations to Community Living Es County or the Windsor and Es County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
