Emma’s Obituary
McNALLY, Emma Leah ~ age 97, formerly of Kingston, Kings Co., passed away in the Grand View Manor, Berwick, on January 11, 2020. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Keddy) McDow. Emma enjoyed life to the fullest. For years, she could be seen walking in Kingston. She enjoyed day trips to different parts of Nova Scotia. She loved knitting and reading. Emma will be deeply missed by her daughter, Corine McNally, Elnora, Alta; son-in-law, Steven Hudson, Lower Sackville; brother, Waldo (Marilyn) McDow, of New Ross; sister-in-law, Olive McDow, North Kingston; nine grandchildren, Debbie, Carol-Lee, Jackie, Dale, Glenn, Donna-Lynn, Angela, Shyla and Creeden; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Emma was predeceased by her husband, Lamert “Mert”; daughter, Laura; sisters, Marguerite, Vivian and Thora; brothers, Carl, Alton, Harold, Ray, Delbert and Basil. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Kingston United Cemetery, Rev. Mel Malton officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street toll free 1- 855- 825- 3448. Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes Canada.
