Obituary of Emily Dutka
On January 19th, 2021, Emily Dutka (nee Čmelo) of Chatham, Ontario, passed away to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
She was born in Zbora, Czechoslovakia to George and Zuzanna (nee Hlinka) Čmelo. After immigrating to Canada, she was raised by Zuzanna and her step-father Mike Rosbak.
Predeceased by her husband, Harry Dutka (2010).
Loving Mom of Joyce and Kerry Columbus of Barrie, Harry and Ellen Dutka of Taylor, Michigan, the late Sonya Babcock of Chatham, and Cathy Rowe of Chatham.
Grandma of Tanya Columbus, Sean (Laura) Columbus, Naomi (Dustin) Krueger, Paul Dutka, Nathan Babcock, and Joel Babcock.
Great-grandma of two great grandchildren and one on the way.
Sister of the late Katherine Kuchta, Melvin Čmelo, George Čmelo, John Rosbak, and Helen Rosbak.
Emily’s faith in Jesus was very important to her. She was a dedicated, life-long member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Chatham, and she had a selfless devotion to her family.
Due to COVID-19, a private family service will take place on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 at McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
