1950-2021
Following a brief illness and with her family by her side, Emily
Pelkey of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at her home on
December 30, 2021.
Emily was born in Lake Edward, NB, on August 7, 1950. She was the
daughter of the late Bernard and Amy (Dee) Watson. Emily leaves behind
her daughter, Trena Christenesen (Greg) of Hillandale, NB; her sons,
Troy Pelkey (Debbie) of Tilley, NB, and Jonathan Pelkey (Kylie) of
Florenceville, NB; her eleven grandchildren and great grandson, Liam
Ruff; her brothers, Jimmy Watson of St. Thomas, ON, Norman Watson
(Theresa) of Aroostook, NB; along with many nieces, nephews, and
friends.
Emily was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John Pelkey, in
October of 2020; her infant baby boy; her sister, Glenna Taylor;
brothers, Ray, Donald, Vincent, David, and Therman Watson.
Respecting Emily’s wishes, visitation and funeral service will be for
immediate family and close friends. Rev. H.M. Lewis officiated.
Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery in California Settlement, NB, at
a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Liver
Foundation, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian
Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
Emily’s family would like to express their heartfeld gratitude to her
homecare workers, Grace Thibodeau, Cindy McPherson, and Ravin Forsythe
for the care given to her. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Allison
Kennedy for the excellent care to Emily over the years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
