Emily Annie’s Obituary
Our hearts are filled with sadness and our lives forever changed as we, the family of the late Emily Annie Hardy announces her peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Annie was predeceased by her husband in 2019; John Robert Hardy, parents; John and Elizabeth Best (nee Cox), her father and mother-in-law; William and Pearl Hardy (nee Pink), brothers; William Best, Henry Best (Martha Rose), Don Best, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
A proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Annie leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving children; Jacqueline (George) Keeping of Burnt Islands, NL, Maryanne (Kevin) Dominie of Stephenville, NL, George (Joselyn) Hardy of Rose Blanche, NL and Don (Wilhelmena) Hardy of Arnprior, ON. Annie will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Georgina (Paul), John (Jennifer), Corey (Amanda), Raylene (Lorenzo), Jeremy (Shelley), Philip, great-grandchildren; Lucas, Emily, Kirkland, Kendall, Cameron, and Quinn. She will forever remain in the hearts of her sisters; Betty (Walter) Keeping of Rose Blanche, NL, Mary Billard of Port aux Basques, NL, brother; George (Rose) Best of North Sydney, NS plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends including her friends at the Mountain Hope Manor from where Annie resided.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 29th, at 11 am from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Rose Blanche officiated by The Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations in Annie’s memory can be made to the St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Rose Blanche.
