It’s with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Elvin Christianson. He passed peacefully on January 16, 2021, at Crowsnest Pass Care Center in Blairemore, Alberta at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his first wife and the mother of his 4 children, Lois Christianson. Elvin leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Audrey; children, Sheryl (Chuck) Copeman, Grant (Christine) Christianson, Cindy (Harry) Christianson, Ken (Rhonda) Christianson and his step-children Bobby Levesque and Denise Levesque. He is also surved by 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Elvin was born in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan and moved around a lot before making Medicine Hat his home over 60 years ago and where he continued to grow his family. Elvin worked a few jobs before he retired, his main ones were at Good Year and with the City as a bus driver. Elvin had a love for horses starting at an early age and passed that onto his children. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage fixing things, being in his yard and visits from family and friends. Due to Covid restrictions, a service in his memory will be held at a later date.
