Elmer was born December 11th, 1929 near Waldheim, Saskatchewan. His parents were Jacob and Katharina (Epp) Janzen. He was the last of a family of 10, who have all predeceased him. At the age of 8, Elmer along with his family moved to Abbotsford, were he lived out his life. He spent many years working as a Machine Operator, and was always up to a challenge. He also spent many years caring for his mother.
Elmer had many interests golfing, bowling, fishing and following sports. We always enjoyed him playing the mouth organ and guitar at the same time. Some of the good times were spent going out for coffees and lunches with his nephews. He also enjoyed the good visits with his nieces. He was renowned for his ability to ride a Unicycle. When he enjoyed an activity he practiced it to perfection. His nieces and nephews had a special place in his life.
Above all he had a strong faith, and accepted Christ into his life at a young age. He fell a few years ago and broke his hip and finally decided to go into a Care Home.
We will miss you Uncle Elmer, but know you have made your last journey to your Heavenly home.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Elmer Janzen December 11 1929
