In loving memory of Elma (Smith) St. Amour, 94 years. Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at Pioneer Manor. Beloved wife of Edgar St. Amour predeceased. Loving mother of Maurice (Barb), Robert predeceased (Chantale), Tom (Colette), Elizabeth predeceased, Patricia (Carl predeceased), Wilfred (Diane predeceased)(France predeceased), and Frank (Roxanne). Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of Robert and Isabella Smith both predeceased. Dear sister of Mary, Robert, Emily, Cathy, and Jim, all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Elma was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish, CWL, the War Brides of Ontario, Lockerby Legion Ladies Auxilliary, and Club 111. She was a gifted knitter and sewer, providing hundreds of socks, toques, mittens, and scarves for children and those in need. Elma enjoyed dressing up as Mrs. Claus and volunteering for many charitable groups, such as at the cancer center. Special thanks to the workers at Pioneer Manor, York/Ramsay for their kindness and care, especially Sylvie and Carol. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Friday, January 29th, 2021 at 3:30pm. (Friends may call 1:30pm-3:30pm Friday only. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 10 people or fewer permitted in the visitation room and the chapel. Face masks are mandatory).
