Vidler, Ellen Iris —
It is with great sadness that we announce that our Mum, Ellen Iris Vidler (nee Barry) passed away peacefully on January 28, 2021. She was Born in Surrey, England, June 25, 1926.She was predeceased by her beloved husband Doug. They were married for 63 years. Ellen was born in Surrey, England, June 25, 1926. She had such a difficult time as a teenager during the Second World War, but after the war, she came to Canada to visit her cousin Iris. It was during that visit she met Doug and they were married 6 months later. Ellen and Doug raised their 3 children, Susan, Judith and Bruce in Thistletown.
Ellen worked as a receptionist for a number of companies. She was a terrific Mum and was always game for camping adventures. Her passion was music. She always sang in the church choir and was a member of many other choirs throughout her life.
Ellen was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother. She has 4 grandchildren, Brodie, Justin, Kyle and Darren, and 2 great-grandchildren Callie and Declan. She will be missed everyday. It does our hearts good knowing she is with her Doug, probably dancing.
