Obituary of Elizabeth Mabel Spinney
SPINNEY , Elizabeth Mabel- age 81, of Stewiacke passed away April 9, 2021 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Mingo) Currie.
Elizabeth was a faithful member of the United Pentacostal Church. She loved to play her omnichord and sing in church. She was a social person who enjoyed the company of her neighbours and friends. She revelled in being part of the Stewiacke Town Days parade each year.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, David (Juanita); granddaughter, Rachel (Josh) MacKenzie; great grandsons, Hunter and Reid; sister, Lona Lewis; brother, Colson Currie; nephew, Robert Lewis and niece, Angie Lewis.
She was predeceased by husband, Douglas Milton Spinney; son, Douglas Alan Spinney, two brothers in infancy.
Covid-19 protocols will be followed at a visitation, which will be held from 10:30 am until time of service at 11am, Friday, April 16th in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, Pastor Tony Gratto officiating. A private family interment will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
