Obituary of Elizabeth Ethier (nee Burnie)
With heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Elizabeth Mary Ethier (nee Burnie) peacefully at her home in Waltham, Quebec surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late Francis Burnie and the late Elizabeth Ryan. Beloved wife of the late Germanin Ethier. Cherished mother of Paulette (Yvan), Connie (Charles) and Marcel. She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren; Andrew (Amy), Tiffany (Michel), Shannon (Tyler), Travis and Bobbie Lee (Wade) and her great grandchildren; Nevaeh, Logan, Zoey, Harper, Caleb, Aiden, Gavin and her soon to be great grandson arriving in June. She leaves to mourn her brother; Elmur (late Jackie) and sister; Beatrice (late Léo). Predeceased by her siblings; Albert (Lillian), Mildred (Rayburn), Edith (George), Hillary, John (Margaret), Dora (Bob), Bernadine (Wilfred) and Laura (Charles). Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and amazing friends. A private family gathering will be held at the Hayes Funeral Home, Chapeau, Quebec on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. St. Joseph’s Church, St. Joseph, Quebec in the intimacy of the immediate family only. Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Fr. Tim Moyle’s and on the Catholic Parishes of the Upper Pontiac Facebook page at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Waltham, Quebec.
